I am originally from the St. Louis, Missouri area and attended the University of Missouri – St. Louis, graduating with a degree in Communications and Studio Art in 2004. I worked in the finance industry before moving to Alabama with my husband Eric in 2009, where and when we started our family – our daughter Charlotte was born in 2010 and our son John was born in 2013. While looking to find a way to serve my community, I began to teach part-time at the preschool they were enrolled in and fell in love with interacting, engaging, and inspiring young minds.
After five fulfilling years teaching prek-2, I decided to pursue a path to become certified to teach at the elementary grade level. I proudly graduated from Western Governors University with a Master of Arts in Elementary Teaching in May 2023.
I strongly believe that making mistakes allow thinking and learning to happen, so my goal is not to demand perfection, but to encourage that your child always put forth their besteffort at everything they do.I cannot wait to get to know and inspire a love of learning with your child! It is going to be a fan-CACTUS year!
