Welcome to Mrs. Emmy's Dinosaur Class

My name is Emmy Cannon and this is my 25th year teaching. My students call me "Mrs. Emmy".  I earned a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Auburn University in Montgomery.  I also earned a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education from Auburn University in Montgomery. I have taught 23 years of Kindergarten and one year of 3rd grade.   We have 4 wonderful children. Our oldest daughter graduated from college in 2020. Our oldest son graduated from college in 2022. Our middle daughter is a sophomore at the University of Montevallo. Lastly, our youngest son is a senior at Prattville High School.

I absolutely LOVE my job and I love being with children.  Your child will learn so much this year and I look forward to working with every child and their family this school year.

Our class mission statement is to STOMP INTO LEARNING IN THE DINOSAUR CLASS!!!!

10:50-11:10  Snack time

11:50-12:29   Math 

12:29-12:54  Lunch time

1:30-2:45  Social Sciences/Health/Thematic Unit Studies across the curriculum

2:45 - 3:00 Prepare for dismissal / afternoon centers / author's chair
