Please check your Parent Square App to see the latest information from me. I have my lesson plans attached to it in the posts and have all the homework, due dates etc in there as well. It is the best way to contact me and see what is going on in our busy class. Our Math Series is called "enVision Mathematics. Your child will have a consumable textbook in the classroom and an "Additional Practice" workbook to keep at home for homework.
|
|
Envision Mathematics also has an online component where I will attach lessons for them to view and assignments on there for practice. Students can access this through their "Clever" login procedures.
Students will also have access to "Reflex Math" to practice basic skills. |
|
|
History Science |
Our Science Materials are from Pearson Realize "Interactive Science" This also offers digital videos and lessons. Many of our lessons will include hands on practice/discovery and usage of the academic vocabulary that goes along with the Science curriculum. Students access this through their Clever Account. | Alabama History Materials We mainly utilize two sources: Textbook series "Alabama Our Beautiful Home" and the Social Studies Weekly magazine which also has some online components the students access through their Clever account. |

Bio
Education
I have an undergraduate B.A. degree in Elementary Education which I received from Huntingdon College in Montgomery, Al. My M.A. degree is from the University of Alabama in Birmingham in the field of English Language Learners, (ESL/ELL) and I am certified K-12. My teaching experiences cover over 20 years and three states. I graduated from high school here in Prattville. I love having the opportunity to teach in the Autauga County School system.
Personal Bio
I am blessed to have four wonderful children (all over the age of 18), plus a daughter in law, a son in law and 3 precious grand children. I love being outdoors, fishing/hiking, playing pickle ball and taking care of our farm including: chickens, ducks, long leaf pines, a small pond and a horse. I attend First Methodist Church in Prattville.
Thank you for the opportunity to teach your child. We will have an amazing year filled with a variety of experiences/activities to explore and discover all we can about Math, Science and Alabama History. I will often ask for donations of specific supplies/materials so that we can complete a learning activity and have lots of hands on learning experiences.
